Minimalist to the Max
We built this house in The Lozère in France. At an altitude of 1100 meters, temperatures go down to -20 °C in winter. The Eric & Flo needs just a simple 6kW wood burner.
Walls:
The outside walls are made from 16 cm laminated logs, with extra insulation and maintenance free larch on the outside.
Heating:
No floor heating, no heat pump, no dual-flow heat recovery ventilation system. Just a 6kW wood burner and a little internal ventilation.
Roof & Gutters:
Metal sheet roof, wood fiber insulation. Hidden gutters adds to the minimalist design. Options: classic tiles, ardoises, Velux windows.
Terrace:
A nice wooden terrace enlarges the house, places it on the pedestal, separates the house from the background.
Tech Data:
- 159 m2 footprint
- 135 m2 net floor space
- logs 16 cm thick
- total wall thickness 42 cm
- RT-2020 compliant
